March 28, 2009 – A diversity of media savvy “WAM!mers” gathered at MIT’s Stata Center in Cambridge, MA, over the weekend for the WAM! 2009 Conference on Women, Action & the Media, organized by the Center for New Words. The 3-day event brought together journalists, activists and hundreds of other participants interested in gender justice in media.
